On Saturday January 20 Wormall Civil once again hosted a group of clients and consultants at the WACA ground for one of the all conquering Perth Scorcher's Big Bash League 07 games, this time against the Hobart Hurricanes.
Part of the hospitality provided that evening was the opportunity for Wormall Civil construction staff, clients and consultants to walk out onto the ground pre game during the teams' warm ups. This also included spending 10 minutes in close conversation with the very generous, affable and very successful Perth Scorcher's coach Justin 'Alfie' Langer or JL as he is also known. JL provided a very interesting insight into the team strategies and happily answered the questions our group of 16 threw at him.
We were also joined back in our corporate suite during the game by Perth Scorcher's injured champion bowler Jason Behrendorff, who provided additional backgrounding on the team's strategies and participated in a Q&A session as well.
It was an unforgettable experience for all involved and we look forward to hosting another group early next year, only next time at Burswood Stadium in front of 55,000 fans hopefully!
Thank you to JL, Adam Voges and the Perth Scorchers team as well as Aaron Olow at the WACA for providing our group with this amazing experience.

Beachridge Estate is situated approximately 200 km north of Perth’s CBD, almost equidistant from Perth and Geraldton on the Indian Ocean coast.
A focus by the developer and approval authorities on the principles of environmental sustainability, and in particular water sensitive urban design, helped underpin the development. The intention was to avoid transplanting ‘suburbia’ to this unique coastal location.
Strong prevailing winds with resulting dust presented construction difficulties, particularly during the early stages of bulk earthworks. Unprecedented contingency measures such as the installation of a...Read More >
